The historic Loew’s Paradise movie palace in The Bronx
is now the
Paradise Performing Arts Center
Paradise Performing Arts Center
The longest-serving cultural attraction in the Bronx, the historic 1929 Loew’s Paradise movie palace, has been reimagined as the Paradise Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which will help transform both a landmark theater and its neighborhood and deliver world-class arts to one New York City’s most culturally-underserved neighborhoods.
97 years in the making, The Paradise Performing Arts Center is the second largest theater in New York City after Radio City Music Hall and now has a new, updated mission: to present a range of artistic voices that mirror the community and expand access to the arts to the widest possible audience.
Performing Arts In The Bronx
Programming will include concerts, stand-up comedy, family shows, dance, film and educational events. Presenting performing arts in the heart of the Bronx will be a spectacular achievement of urban renewal that will help profoundly revitalize the community. Local impact will be felt in countless ways including economic development through new jobs both at the theatre and in the neighborhood, introducing young people to the arts and arts education, cultivating new talent and new audiences, and featuring local concessions. Every other New York City borough has major theatrical venues, and now the Bronx has one also.
Donor Impact
The Paradise Performing Arts Center is collaborating with individuals, supporters and sponsors to create meaningful opportunities to engage with the performing arts and the community. Through vital philanthropic support for programming and initiatives, donors and sponsors are joining us in supporting world-class programs including performances, festivals, education, special events, public programs and more. From brand marketing and digital content to activations and special access, diverse programming allows sponsors to connect with audiences across a variety of platforms.
